City Code section 3-4-1 requires a dog to be under restraint, with section 3-4-4 listing the public areas where restraint is not required. On City land the leash maximum is 6 feet. Failure to restrain is a Class C misdemeanor and fines run up to $500. Parks are generally open 5am to 10pm unless posted.
