The default Pflugerville walk is the Lake Pflugerville loop, and a loop is the worst geometry for a reactive dog. Every dog coming the other way meets yours head on, twice if you both keep going, and there is no side street to bail into, just water on one side and open grass on the other. New parks draw crowds, and crowds are exactly what an unprepared dog does not need on day one.

Lake Pflugerville

A 180 acre reservoir at 18216 Weiss Lane ringed by a 3 mile crushed granite loop with quarter mile markers and very little shade. The default walking route for much of the city, which means oncoming dogs pass head on with water on one side of the trail and open grass on the other.
